Roster planning

Roster planning that knows the collective agreement and the staff ratio

Plan the staff roster around the care times guardians have booked. Knuut checks working time rules and staff ratios while you plan, not after the roster is out.

How it works

Used in these apps
  • Admin web app
  • Knuut Staff
  • Knuut Attendance
01

Staffing need next to the plan

Knuut works out from the booked care times how many adults each moment needs and compares it with the planned shifts in ten minute slots. Understaffing shows up before you publish, and a gap can be opened as a substitute shift straight from the chart.

02

Working time rules checked right away

Daily and weekly rest, shifts over nine hours, planning time, and additional and overtime work are checked as shifts are added. The rules follow the early childhood education collective agreement and cannot be switched off.

03

Wishes and shifts on the staff member's phone

Staff send their shift wishes in the Knuut app before the deadline, and the wishes show up in the planning view. When the roster is published, everyone gets a notification and sees their own shifts. For the noticeboard, the roster prints as a PDF.

04

Changes by agreement, actual hours at the end

A change to a published roster goes to the staff member as a proposal and takes effect once they accept it. At the end of the period the plan is compared with clock-ins, and the hours worked go to payroll as a CSV file.

Questions about this feature

Which collective agreements does Knuut support?

The rules and the classification of hours follow the early childhood education collective agreement. Target hours can also be set for the municipal agreement, the private social services agreement or your own contract. Round-the-clock shift work is not supported yet.

Does Knuut build the roster automatically?

No. The planner decides the shifts. Knuut speeds the work up with templates and copying, and checks the rules and staff ratios all the time.
