Check-ins that stay up to date without paper
Children and staff are checked in, checked out and marked absent on the unit's phone. Every record shows up right away for the admin team and in the staff ratio.
How it works
- Knuut Attendance
- Admin web app
One phone for the whole unit
The unit app shows the day's children and staff as a single list. A staff member opens the app with their own PIN and checks a child in with a few taps. The record is saved immediately, along with who made it.
In, out or absent
There are three kinds of records: check-in, check-out and absence. An absence the guardian reported in advance shows on the list as its own mark until staff confirm it or the child turns up after all.
The list shows what is still to do
Children and staff are grouped by status: present, not yet checked in, left and absent. In the morning you see at a glance who is still expected, and in the afternoon who is still waiting to be picked up.
A missing check-out does not go unnoticed
If a child is still checked in at the end of the day, the admin view shows it. Problems are fixed the same day, not at the end of the month when invoicing comes around.
What's included

Questions about this feature
Does every staff member need their own device?
No. One phone per unit is enough. Each staff member opens it with their own PIN, so every record is still tied to the person who made it.
Can guardians check their child in themselves?
Guardians report care times and absences in advance in their own app. The actual check-in is always done by staff, so attendance data stays reliable.
